Short Description of Activity
This was a Conservation Cafeteria webinar titled” Federal Funding at Risk”. The purpose was to discuss federally funded projects in Wyoming (primarily energy related) that have been paused or canceled by the new administration
Reflection/Evaluation
It was educational, personally, though the focus was not on energy development, but on energy conservation projects, so it is not very applicable to the WHALES. I wasn’t aware that organizations in Wyoming had applied for and received many grants, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure bill that would have enabled home energy rebates, solar installations, energy tax credits and rural energy projects. The “little people” lose again.
