Blue Diamond Broads has a 2-mile stretch of Highway 159, which runs through the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It was our first event of this kind.
Reflection/Evaluation
Spring Break found everyone out of town except my big sister Diana. Although it was just the two of us, it was a fantastic first event. We found logistical tweaks that will make the next event much easier and smoother.
Diana and I put on our bright yellow vests and hats, provided by NDOT, and the very first ‘piece of litter’ we found was a dead body!! It was a cat, but still! We ended up with three full bags of unsightly and dangerous litter, had a beautiful walk, and felt wonderful doing it.
